The hotel is magnificently designed across a slope ensuring that every room gets an amazing view. There is also a cable car, to make it easy for the children and the elders to climb up, which fascinated my daughter thoroughly!

La Montana is located in the hills of Ooty, amidst greenery, offering amazing views and a premium stay. It is just 20-25 minutes away from the town center, so the location is very convenient. The grand staircase on the facade is definitely royal and beautiful.

This property offers two types of rooms – Executive cottages and Premium Cottages offering beautiful views of the valley and the woodlands too. The rooms are clean, well furnished and spacious and can easily provide a comfortable stay.

The main attraction for my daughter was the cable car, which took us down to the play area from the reception area, as well as the toy train that we could see from the comforts of our own balcony. This hotel offers services like a bonfire, indoor games, and a vibrant children’s play area. The garden located within the property is perfect for calm walks in the evening.

Built in the 1800’s, Tea Nest is housed in a historic mansion. Set amidst natural greenery, it offers a peaceful getaway. It features a restaurant, 24-hour reception and free parking. It is only 3 kilometers away from Coonoor, offering beautiful views amidst the greenery. What I loved most about this property is its beautiful location amidst the tea gardens.

The Tea plantation tour is otherwise an expensive affair in Coonoor. However, Teanest is located in the tea plantations so you get to tour them for free and the surroundings are just beyond picturesque. I assure you that every moment here is photogenic and the views awestriking

The Teanest has multiple types of rooms you can choose from. I stayed in the ‘Hibiscus’ room and was impressed by its private verandah, garden view and how peaceful it felt overall. The rooms are uniquely named after the varied types of teas which really got my daughter interested. The rooms are well furnished and have vibrant colours in their interiors and French windows . Amenities like a bonfire, a Tennis court and BBQ facilities are also available for the guests. Activities like hiking, tennis and golf are sure to keep you occupied. I also recommend going for the bird watching tour in the morning that gives your day a fresh start and a rare opportunity to spot rare birds.

I personally think that this property is value for your money and the service and food is really exceptional. If you are planning a stay in Coonoor, do not miss out on an opportunity to stay in this property, you will enjoy your stay to the fullest for sure!
