Hotel Cupid’s Castle – Review
Rooms & Property

Cupid’s Castle is a modest, budget-friendly hotel in Palolem ideal for those travelling to Goa with friends. Most of the rooms are studio type double bedrooms.

The rooms are clean and tidy and limited furniture makes them look bigger. All the rooms have an air-conditioner, a geyser and cable TV facility. There are 2-3 charging points available in each room. 2 chairs and a table are laid out in the veranda outside every room. The beach can be seen from the balcony of the rooms on the first floor. Reservations of this hotel can be done through various websites or on a phone call. Also, bear in mind that walking-in may not be a good idea as the hotel is generally full due to its location and its reasonable tariff. The hotel accepts all major debit & credit cards.
Note: Equip yourself with mosquito repellents as the beach is close-by.
Location
Palolem is 34 kms away from Madgaon (Nearest major railway station) and 45 kms away from Dabolim (Domestic and International Airport). It is the southernmost beach of Goa. Cupid’s Castle is hardly a minute away from the famous Palolem beach. Moreover, within a radius of 300 meters from Cupid’s Castle, you will find a few general stores, liquor shops, a taxi stand, two wheeler rental shops, currency exchanges, restaurants and bars, beach shacks, art shops, ice cream parlours, juice centres, local apparel shops, medical shops, water sports, doctor’s clinic and a police booth.
Food & Drinks

There is an in-house restaurant and bar which serves good North-Indian, Indian version of Chinese and continental food and Goan food. Most of the famous Indian manufactured liquor is served here. Tandoor being their speciality, tandoori chicken and kebabs are a must-try. This place attracts a lot of foreign nationals and Indians. In-room dining facility is also available. We had a vegan friend who was also satisfied with the food options.
Staff & Hospitality
The staff is really courteous and polite. They understand and speak the local language, Hindi, English and Russian as well. The owner is really co-operative and has good local contacts. When it comes to house-keeping and in-room dining, the service was really quick. (However based on personal experience, generous tipping can do wonders! :D).
In conclusion, Cupid’s Castle is an ideal place for a group of guys or girls, small families and couples looking for a pleasant stay on a budget. The hotel is well equipped to take care of basic needs and is definitely value for money. We recommend you to book your stay at this property in advance as the property is mostly sold out due to its prime location.
We hope that you have a wonderful and safe stay!
